That is the kind of effect i wanted with my grape pics. The light going thru the subject, making it translucent. It's a different way of looking at it, and in my opinion, rather interesting. Nice to see the 'veins' of the petals and leaves, yet, still maintaining some nice color :)
It's kinda like having a small but powerful flashlight pressed against the tip of your finger to look for a splinter. ok.. i;m weird. :D hehhe
But nice way of looking at the roses. :)

mxmbabe:if Your weird then your in my Club, thats all, What I was trying to do was make those rose petals translucent and go the leafs along with the petals , I comes do to the angle you shot at ,thats about all I can say on this type of foto, Thanks for your thoughts!

Its a great idea and it is a different view on a familiar subject. I too really like the effect the backlighting has on the leaves. Just one thing, the stem in the background is a little distracting, especially because of its colour, it is fighting the main subject for my attention. You did a good job on this, I know how frustrating it can be because earlier this month I was underneath a chestnut tree trying to shoot upward through the leaves into the blue sky and sun. I gave up after a few attempts, we were out on a walk and time was passing.
