Failed to get any of the meteor... Siighhh.. each time we set the cam at one area.. the meteor shot off at another area. It was kinda frustrating. Anyway, since it was a starry night and no moon in sight, just a few shots that came out better than some others, while my son and i tried to figure out the best possible settings to use, with neither one of us being very capable with the new cam Rebel T1i.
We figured the best way was to set it at 12-15secs exposure, put it on a timer (earlier shots had slight movement so he set the timer on instead) and we stood in the mid of the street for best view ... hehehhe

closer view of the 3stars in a row,..

Another part of the sky, with a little cluster of stars

What is usually the best setting for pics of the night sky anyway?
